Today was a busy day for Ann, with board meetings beginning at 7 a.m. and going through the day until 5 p.m. Then a short break, and then she has another dinner meeting.
Bob got up early and made coffee. No breakfast since Ann's first meeting was a breakfast meeting. Bob got some food for his breakfast out of the fridge, and got a tiny bit of work done from the "command center."Ann hooks up her computer to the command center when she needs to print something, Bob hooks up his computer to work, phones get recharged, coffee gets made and there are usually some snacks on the table.

Bob walked Ann down to her first meeting. Then, it was off to the World War II Museum, which is one of the major attractions in New Orleans. Bob/I decided to walk the 1.5 miles to the museum with camera in hand, and see what interesting photographs might be taken along the way. It was over 90 degrees, and humid, so he/I went slow, but it was an enjoyable walk. All I/he could think about was the golf game scheduled tomorrow in equally hot and humid weather. Do people here really play golf under these conditions? Time will tell.

| I pass our favorite supermarket on the way to the museum. Who knew it was the official supermarket of the New Orleans Saints...what must they do to get that designation? |
 |
| An interesting mural on the way to the museum, the mural was the artist's autobiography. |
 |
| The artist's life story was detected in the water below the bathers. Very interesting. |
 |
| Then I pass a law office with two semi-naked statutes outside...what an interesting idea [or not]. |
Bob/I was a little apprehensive about visiting the World War II Museum. Really not interested in any kind of museum that glorifies war, and I was pleased they didn't do so. The focus of the museum was a historically correct account of the war, and they included video and photos that would never be permitted on television. The photos and video were usually accompanied by a narration of the event by one of the soldiers who was there. In one or two cases, this included individuals who were enemy soldiers. Of course, there was plenty of video and small theaters throughout the museum.
There were a lot of World War II veterans at the museum. There was a 4D theater presentation that tried to depict what is was like to fly a bomber or be in a town that was being bombed. For this, they showed actual film footage when the event happened. There were lots of airplanes hanging from the ceiling (I don't know how they got those planes up there), tanks on the floor, and lots of weapons and intelligence equipment and letters.

Bob/I stayed at the museum until about closing, then back to the hotel. Upon arriving at the hotel, you could see that Ann's GAPNA convention had started. Up to now she was busy at board meetings, but now the convention gets started.
